Today I shall share with you my very favorite holiday polish, and I promise that I'll be a blogging maniac over break. I swear! Here goes... :)
Materials: Finger Paints' "Primary Color", Wet n Wild's "Silvivor" and "Star of the Show"
Allrighty. Gather your materials. You should use a festive color, and then use a metallic that contrasts. For example, because I used red, which is a warm color, I used silver. If I had used green, a cool color, then I would have used gold. Polish all your fingernails with the red, and then paint one of your pinky nails silver. Just one.
Like this, except try to be a little neater, or else you'll have a lot of cleaning up around your nails to do when you finish your design.
I used two coats of all the polish. Wait for it to dry a bit, so that it feels tacky when touched, but doesn't leave fingerprints in the polish or mush it around when you touch it either. Then, use the silver stars to put at least one star on each fingernail except the silver one. The star polish is quite thick, and a little gloppy, but it's basically a clear coat with confetti in it. Love it.
The nice thing about it is that the polish dries very quickly, even though it is very thick.
Here's the hard part. Using the red, take the brush and touch it to your pinky fingernail. Holding the brush still, roll your finger from right to left, and tilt it up a little. This will produce a really smooth, ribbon-like stripe that looks a little bit like a candy cane. Repeat once or twice, until you are happy.
Like this!
Allright folks, that's all for today! Finish up, and you'll have pretty, festive holiday nails to show off for all of winter break.
Comments make my day! Love you all!
