Feeling Dotty

Hello, hello, hello! I know its been a while, sorry 'bout that.  All this high school stuff is incredibly time consuming.  Anyways, here's another nail post! But first.... check out this picture of a sweet potato that I was cutting up for the soup I made!

 Isn't it pretty inside??

All right, I hear you all.  Here's the nails... Materials today are:
- Two contrasting colors of polish (Black and white works great)
- File or clippers
- Something with a round tip (I use an old pencil)
- Something hard to drip polish on that can get ruined (I use an old tupperware lid)
I used Revlon "Knockout" and Maybelline "Porcelain Party"

Polish your nails alternating colors.  I did black, 2 white, black, white, black, white, 2 black, white, in order starting from my left pinky nail.  You'll need one or two coats.
Like this!

Let them dry a bit.  Then, put a drop or two of black polish onto the tupperware lid.  Dip the pencil tip into the polish, and gently dot it on one of your white fingernails.  Make lots of little dots, with a higher concentration on the tips and less at your nail beds.  In other words, taper off the dots as you go up your nail.  Don't worry about perfection, it'll look good no matter what!
You can vary the size of the dots too, like I did here.

Wipe off the pencil.  Put a couple drops of white polish on the tupperware lid, and repeat this process, but dotting white onto your black nails.  After you finish this, you're done! How easy was that?!?
Tah Dah!!!

I seem to have a horrible habit... I always polish my nails right before I do something that will include me inevitably messing them up.  I do them right before I eat, or shower, or get dressed, and I never seem to have enough time to let them dry, resulting in an ugly, smudgy manicure.  Well, that problem is forever gone, thanks to a wonderful Pintrest article!  If you spray your wet fingernails with cooking spray, and then wipe the oil off gently, your nails will be completely dry! I have NO idea why this works... But it does! So I'm grateful for this newfound phenomenon!
All right folks, thats all for today.  Hope you enjoyed!  Please leave comments and follow, it'll make my day!
